The Panasonic SDR-S100 is the world’s
first 3CCD SD camcorder. Unlike other 3ccd camcorders that
store video onto minidv tapes, this Panasonic video camera
stores the video onto sd cards. At the present time cd cards
only come in gb capacity but apparently that will be changing
shortly with the introduction of 32 gb cards in the near
future giving you ample storage for your video filming requirements.
CCD stands for charge coupled device. 3
CCD camcorders record the the colors in the video separately, red, blue
and green. This technique gives the video the most vivid
colors possible. The 3CCD technology is the same type used
in Panasonic professional broadcast video equipment. Then
result is crystal clear 540 lines of resolution giving you
crisp and vivid colors in your home movies.
The optical Image Stabilizer gets rid of blurry images that
are usually associated with a shaky hand while filming. There
is no need to worry about camera shake, this features compensates
for any hand movement that occurs as you shoot video. Gyrosensors
detect the amount and direction of movement, while a linear
motor adjusts the lenses as needed to compensate. You get
clear, sharp images in situations where hand-shake is typically
a problem, like wide-angle shots or high magnification levels
of the zoom.
Other features include in the Panasonic sdr-s100 camcorder,
10x optical zoom, mpeg movie mode, digital still shot capabilities
and you also get a 2.8 inch LCD color display.
