PCMag reviews
the gr-d33us and writes - "The inexpensive
JVC GR-D33US, introduced this spring, may not be graceful,
but it shoots decent video and comes with an LED headlight.
If you're looking for a camcorder for $500 or less, this
is our Editors' Choice. Those who want a cheap unit that
takes better stills should consider the Canon ZR85, however."
Carl Plumer from About.com does a review
of this JVC mini dv camcorder and writes - "The JVC
GR-D33 is one of the best camcorders available in this
price range. It is easy to use and captures video at DVD
quality with stereo sound. The automatic mode is ideal
for beginners and the manual mode is perfect for experienced
videographers who want more control over exposure and other
settings."
Mark Basset from Camcorderinfo.com also wrote
a detailed JVC
gr-d33us review and wrote - "Three JVC Compact Series
were introduced at the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show in
Las Vegas, NV. Their set up had eight monitors and diverse
lighting, that meant we could do a basic evaluation of low
light and video performance when their reps weren't looking.
The low end of the GR-D Compact Series is the GR-D33US, JVC
has made some minor changes and improvements to this low
end camcorder."
